Mike I do not know if this is relevant I had a similar problem with a site served be 4d not an Active4d site just out of the box 4d in any case we traced the problem to Norton Internet security on some computers with Norton Internet security running some pages would not display turn off Norton Internet security and the site worked fine it seemed to be associated with older versions of Norton Internet security 2003 if memory serves I was never able to recreate the problem on any of my test systems and once we figured out it was Norton Internet security the end user lost interest in testing further :-(
I think he just turned off or upgraded Norton Internet security. So for what it is worth you might want to check to see if your user is running Norton Internet security or some other Internet security that may be playing games with your site.
