Hello everyone,

I have a small web system that I could possibly be developing for a client. I would really like to use 4D and active 4D. We do use 4D for a much larger system. I had the opportunity to learn 4D and Active 4D when exploring a web interface for that system. I really liked both tools and would like to stick with them and purchase them for this project.

I am trying to keep the cost down to justify this expense for a smaller project and I have been away from it for about a year or so.

My question is: If I remember correctly when developing a solution with 2003 4D with the Active 4d Plug In, it was possible to run the solution on a standard version of 4D (not 4D server) and use 4D's built-in web server to serve the pages. I cannot remember if there were a limited number of users that could access the system. This system would not have a great deal of traffic.

Is there anyone that could let me know if this would work with 4D 2004?

Thanks,

Carolyn
