Hi all,

I have a series of web sites using the marvellous Active4D in all kinds of wonderful ways. I'm using 4DServer's web server, and serve static files from another Mac server running WebSTAR5.

Now I need to be able to add extensive and full-featured bulletin boards to some of these sites.

I can see a couple of alternatives:

1. I write a huge amount of 4D and Active4D code to build the bulletin boards myself. Unless there's a template for this that some kind soul has made public then this will take a lot of time.

2. I install a PC server and use the freeware PHPBB, www.phpbb.com. This has the advantage that it can be up and running quickly, but the disadvantage that I would need to buy more hardware, and learn PHP in order to be able to customise it beyond the standard settings.

The thoughts or suggestions of those who have already crossed these bridges would be most interesting!

Thanks

David Wright
