I agree with you on this one ...splitting it did make sense, at least
in my case.

In any event, it looks like I can't use A4D on the Client until I
upgrade to 2004 (and use the 4D Webserver for Client expansion). I'll
continue to use ITK while at 6.7/v3.

This is because the v2003 server was dual-purpose. It functioned as a
both web and web services server.
Under v2004 4D Inc. split the functionality and the cost into two
products. IMO this was a good move.
