It crashed while checking if the libraries need refreshing. Very
strange.

I followed the instructions from your website but the .a4d files only
open in code view.
Dropped in the config file of The app directory as well as the folder
in user/library/ applications support.

See if .a4d is one of the types listed in the Preferences > File
Types/Editor "Open in code view:" setting? If so, try removing it.
