Alex,

In 4D 2004, when you are running the Web Server on a client, you need
to create a Web Server "Group" with it's sole member being the User
you are running the Web Server on. You then click 4D Client Web Server
plug-in on for only that Group.

The basic premise is shown here in a tech note. I know you aren't
using two Users, but the methodology is the same.

This should only grant 4D Web Server privileges to users of that
specified group.

You should check the preferences FROM A CLIENT, since they Web Server
panel changes, depending on whether you are checking from the server
itself, or a client. The server does not need to automatically start.

As for changing the HTTPS port, check out the Set Database Parameter
(http://www.4d.com/docs/CMU/CMU00642.HTM). More specifically Selector
# 40.

Hope this helps.

Darin
