The immediate reason I asked is whether I will bother to update the
dialogs in the 4D 2003 version of the shell. The long term reason I
asked is whether I will support 4D 2003 at all in the v11 version,
and the answer is probably "no".
I say, suspend support for 4D 2003 in the next version, users can
always use the current version with 4D 2003.
Furthermore, since 4D has now announced that they will be suspending
support of 4D 2003 beginning June 1, should you have any "issues"
working with 4D 2003 internally, they wont be solved either.
4D 2003.8r2 is the last version of the 2003 family we will ever see :-)
FWIW, we are going to stop supporting 4D 2003 for all future versions
of our products for the very same reasons outlined above, but we will
always have the current builds which DO work with 4D 2003 available in
the event a user MUST have 2003 support.
