We deploy the web client on Mac, but I wouldn't think the location would
matter unless you have to contend with Windows permissions issues. 4D
Remote is in the Applications Folder in our case.

My experience IIRC was that doing it the old way didn't work. I don't have
the docs at hand, but I think you can configure where the files can go,
but I never got it to work. Using the defaults did work.

We use NTK so I can't answer this.

On 4D Remote machine.  The actual path location is in the docs. There are
past threads on this topic in the Nabble mailing list archive.
