Hi Aparajita,

> Why not just put the correct path in Active4D.ini and skip the 4D code?

One reason is that I can use the same Active4D.ini file on my development
computer (Mac) as well as for the client (PC). I don't think in Active4D.ini I
have an option to write any code, do I?

So if anything happened to this file, I could just send them my copy and it
should work OK. I don't have to remember what was in it on their end.

Plus I can control this path via a field in the database using 4D code using
the A4D SET ROOT command. Configuring is easier (with this particularly
installation) using 4D directly rather than accessing the web server itself.

It's not a big issue, since I rarely (if ever) change this file; it's all just
getting it set up and running.

And since you've so kindly provided a way to do it in 4D code, I'm taking
advantage of it! :-)

Cheers!

Michael Larue
