We are looking into ways to provide off-line access to some forms.
The form data would eventually be inserted into our database and
viewable via an A4D served system. We would provide these to remote
users such as field techs, or repair/calibration facilities that
either don't have ready Internet access or whom we don't want to
provide direct system accounts. They would either email or upload
the forms when Internet access is available or convenient.

The form could be document-based, or a very-lightweight standalone
executable (please don't suggest a 100+MB merged 4D runtime). If it
were a document it would need to be readable by commonly available
software. We would want to have strict control over the input. I
realize we could try a plain-text solution, but past experience with
that type of solution shows it would be would be to fragile.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience in this area?

Thanks,

Brad
