If I'm going to rant, let me rant on with a little more.

I was also baffled with the upload procedure - but then I RTFD. I had to
abandon Active4D uploads because Safari has "NEVER" worked with 4D (not
Active4D, but 4D). Had to go to some java plug-in that I had to move files at
least a few more times!

I won't look at the docs now, but if I remember the upload procedure is kind of
a transaction. It uploads the file and saves it in a temp location. You have
until the end of the transaction to figure out what you are going to do with
the upload. If you do nothing, it is gone! Change that behavior and you can end
up with having someone uploading gigabytes of documents that don't get
processed.

My problem was I often was not notified the upload was done - just it sat there
and spun. After many countless, wasted hours trying to figure out why upload
was not working - which you can go back 7 or 8 years ago on the list on listen
to me bitch, I concluded that 4D's TCP stack SUCKS! - it always has, it always
will. No expert, but those who know Safari, know it tries to follow the rules
strictly - many of which are often bended.

I did laugh out loud when I looked at the latest release notes and saw that
Safari upload is still a known problem.

You guys are just not sending that frenchman enough money - for something that
is free in the rest of the world.

Steve
