I'm sure Aparaijita will address it but I'd guess he's using a standard C 
library which MAY be different then whatever 4D uses. One may be IEEE 754 and 
the other IEEE 1987. Think I even remember some differences on FP rounding 
errors on a Mac or PC.  I'll agree with you, they should be the same, but I 
still believe you have to add (or subtract) a money fudge factor (or roll your 
own rounding/money stuff)  if you are want to be consistent dealing with money. 
That's one of the reasons I refused to implement any accounting functions in 4D 
that required double entry accuracy - the chief accounted hated me so much, I 
would have been fired for loosing a penny.
