Deleting or overwriting selected text using the keyboard does reproducibly not
work in specific situations, although it works in others. The ones I have
identified where it does not work are these:
- In a plasmoid (e.g. Notes), but weirdly only when I select text from right to
left
- In the "Activity configuration" and "Add items" dialogs it never works
- In the App Launcher, it's especially strange: Overwriting always works, but
deleting only works when text is selected from left to right
When I select text and tap the backspace key (delete) or any key (overwrite)
the input field just loses focus and the selected text is still there and
selected.
