Hi all, this is a short update on the current status of masters of git repos and obs repos:
GIT: * i consider master of plasma-mobile pretty much frozen, please only bugfix commits in there until further notice (when serious development restarts I would like to have an integration branch workflow already) * same thing is for all the other repos: contour, share-like-connect orthose that will be included in the sc release as well (kdelibs, workspace, kactivities etc, for the reason of the 4.9 freeze) * plasma-mobile has a "vivaldi" branch: that branch will be what's released on vivaldi, it has just minor differencies, such as activity encryption ui disabled * nepomuk-core: there has been a change in nepomuk recently on how the inference is computed. this caused some problems that are pretty much solved, except that with the type of queries done in plasma active there is the risk of very slow queries, therefore nepomuk packages are kept very old, prior to those changes. OBS: * Project:KDE:Devel here too i would like to not have many changes until further notice. at the moment there is a build problem due to broken dependencies in the udisk package, it should be fixed in the next days. Important to note: both nepomuk-core andkdelibs are kept to an old state before the last nepomuk inference changes were merged, they should *not* be updated, or plasma-mobile won't work anymore (i have a fix in the mart/nepomukInference branch of plasma-mobile, but i would like having all of this after the vivaldi release because of some problems still unsolved here) * Trunk:Testing: i want to copy the current status of Devel in testing as soon the udisk issue is fixed * VivaldiRelease: this is a repo with a copy of devel that should stay as frozen as possible for the vivaldi release. there plasma-mobile is packaged with the vivaldi branch * Trunk: still not touching that, this will become pa3 and then its reason of existence will probably cease. ie no real reason to do pa5 pa6 etc, but releases would just be device releases, but this is another topic ;) Mer_Extras:Adaptation:Vivaldi (and Tegra2, Archos-gen9) those are repos that contain only packages that are specific for a device type and nothing else (and should be kept as small as posssible) Cheers, Marco Martin _______________________________________________ Active mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active
