Thanks for the reply. I can understand your confusion since I am fully
aware that AD and SQL Server are wholly different. The root problem here is
that we have an online application that makes AD and SQL changes while it
runs. (screwy right?) but that doesn't change the fact that we have it.
This means that for any meaningful backup to be of any value, I have to stop
the application and backup AD and the SQL database at the same time. If I
don't, then AD and the database will be out of synch causing any number of
really bad problems.
That said, can you recommend a good backup product that will accomplish the
foregoing?

What? Active Directory and SQL server really don't have anything to do with
each other.
For SQL use DTS perhaps to replicate data to another server.
For AD, it replicates to all of your DCs anyways.
Doing a backup is another matter entirely, for both of these things, get a
good backup product that has a SQL agent, and is "AD aware" so it can backup
the AD. The AD is really just a very modified Access Database, just jet.

time and replicating them to another server. We are trying a product called
ERDisk but we don't think it is going to do the job. I have been asked to
