If the server is still available, I would recommend putting it back and running
DCPROMO. If this option is not available to you there are some good steps to follow
in Q247393.

All,
How do you remove a Domain Controller from Active Directory Users &
Computers-Domain Controllers that was not DCPROMO'd prior to removing it
from the domain...I now that you can move it to "Computers" and disallow
"Trust computer for delegation" but getting rid of it totally????
