I am using Windows 2000 Server SP2 with IIS 5.0 and am running into problems
with COM+ Identites for components that run on multiple servers. For no
reason that I can detect, on some reboots or on an unscheduled timeline the
COM+ usernames and passwords will lose their identity. The error I get in
the event log is:

Source : DCOM
Type : Error
EventID: 10004

DCOM got error "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested
logon type at this computer. " and was unable to logon domain\useraccount in
order to run the server:
{1F2D447F-80D5-4F98-8EE7-E8E44D990249}

Any page that is pulled up while the identites are gone is a 500 error
through IE. I can go in and retype the credentials (which are domain
accounts) and everything will work fine. I am not sure if this is a problem
with IIS, the component stuff or Active Diretory. There's also problems
with replicating to another domain controller, which leads me to believe
that the problems are AD related. I get Ntfs errors about not being to
contact a domain controller, even though the machineis up on the network and
serving clients.

Any help about how to prevent this and stabilize the AD structure would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
