Hello all, Should DNS return the FQDN across domains? Here is the scenario: Root domain called company.net with 5 child domains like my.company.net, your.company.net, etc. From one child domain to the next, or even to and from the root, I get mixed results when I use the ping command and nslookup. The ping command returns some FQD names and others don't. It is not domain specific. I can ping one DC and get a proper reply where another DC from the same domain does not. Is there a configuration that I can check out to make them all return a FQDN?
