My client has successfully upgrade to win2k and are in native mode BUT, all NEW users,
that get assigned a Windows 98 PC, get "user not found" almost immediately. After
several tries, the exchange server will authenticate the user. (domain info in a
minute). This same user can go to a Windows NT 4.0 or 2000 Pro desktop and logon with
no problem. But and existing user can logon to the same 98 machine and get in no
problem. It is definately isolated to new users and 98 machines. Here's the DC info:

One domain:
Two Servers:
Win2kdc01 - RID, PDC, Infrastructure, domain naming master
E2k01 - Global Catalog, Schema master

The first server in the domain was E2k01. So I thought maybe the PDC emulator role is
whacked so I moved it back to the E2k01 server. Same results.

Replication is awesome and event log is error free. Event logs do not even log the
failed access attempts. Happens on ALL Win98 machines BUT existing users (those that
existed during the migration) do NOT have the same problem. Only new users. Have
install dcslient. No change.

Any ideas??
