As others have already indicated, this is not possible. Depending on what you are trying to do, a good option might be to simply create another global group in the x.com domain. Then add the global groups from x.com and y.com to your domain local group (wherever that might be) and assign the domain local group permissions to your resource (whatever that might be). Domain local groups can contain global groups from any domain in the forest.
