As long as there is a trust with the local authenticating domain to your accounts home domain (not Forest but Explicit trust to your domain) - This is if you are in different Forests. Otherwise remotely from a different domain in the same Forest the Transitive Trust model will look after you as long as you either select your home domain or use the full logon name for your account (i.e. domain/account for pre windows 2000, account@Domain for 2000)
