Hi Rick,
Is it an option to rework the script to create the accounts using ADSI?
It's a very nice interface in my experience - a lot prettier than the
NetAdmin stuff IMHO.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ActiveDir] Setting a
default Value in AD?

Hi Everyone-
I'm new to the list, so forgive me if this has been covered. I looked
through the archives, but I didn't see anything there... I hope this is
the correct forum for my question...
Anyway, I'm integrating Mac OS X and Windows AD.
To do this, I need a field in the AD to have the same value for all users.
The field is already there, userSharedFolderOther.
I want to do something so that for all new accounts that are created, there
is a default value of /Users/labuser.
I can use adsi edit to set the value for users one at a time, and I have a
small vpscript that will set the value for everyone in an ou. What I don't
see is anything in the schema manager or adsi edit that seems to do that I
want to do, set a value that all new accounts will have. Can I do this?
When I make accounts, they are made using perl and win32::netadmin and
win32:adminmisc. I can do this because I'm still in mixed mode. When I
make accounts this way, I don't have the option to set this ldap field...
Thanks for any insights anyone has!
