Unless I'm missing something here, you don't need any tools. Here's the general steps:
1. Install the Active Directory Connector (ADC) from the Exchange 2000 service pack CD. Do not use the ADC on the win2k CDROM. Do not create any connection agreements. 2. From the E2K CDROM, run setup /forestprep on your forest root DC. Tell it to join your existing MSX 5.5 org. 3. From the E2K CDROM, run setup /domainprep on a domain controller for every AD domain that will contain E2K servers or mail enabled objects. 4. Create E2K server in the existing site. 5. Create ADC connection agreements. 6. Move mailboxes from MSX 5.5 servers to E2K servers. The devil, as they say, is in the details. MS has volumes of white papers on E2K migration. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, May 15, 2002 6:10 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ActiveDir] migration tools - 2 e2k? I noticed some discussion about tools for migrating nt4 domains to ad domains. Has anyone looked at migration strategies for moving e5.5 mail domains (same org, variety of sites) to a single admin domain e2k environment. Microsoft have a number of tools that can assist in the process. Any ideas/advice?
