Hi David

That's a fairly large attachment. If you (or anyone else) have large files to share
with the list I'm happy for you to send them to me and I will make them available for
download from the Activedir.org website.

Oh, I forgot to mention, this would need to be for NT4.0 domains now (but would
want to upgrade in 6 months).

Does anyone have administrative password change code that will work from a web
page. Example...... A help desk person (who does not have admin rights) goes to an
intranet page.... IIS authenticates the Helpdesk person to be sure they are in the
right "Helpdesk" group......Then the code on IIS executes (under an admin process
id).... And of course logs it.

I know there are 3rd party ($$$) tools available, but I am sure someone has
already taken the VB code presented here and modified it for the web...?

Thanks! I had started working on a VB App myself to do this, but this will save
me some time since I hadn't gotten to far J

      Izzy,

If you have access to vb, you can customise the look of the sample attached.

      regards

Does anyone have, or know of a site that has, a simple Win32 app to reset
passwords.

We have people at remote offices who I have given the ability to reset
passwords of other users at the office but I really don't want them using ADU&C. So
they have the native ACLs set so they can reset the password but native tools are
overkill for what they need.

What I would like is a simple app that asks for a user's logon and then
prompts for a new password, if the account should be unlocked, if the user must change
their password at next logon, etc.

I know this is something that could be whipped out pretty quickly using VB but
if someone has already done it why re-invent the wheel.
