I'm looking at Disaster recovery too for our company. When I was looking at
Micrososft's MDSN I found this site
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q287061 There should
also be an presentation of how to restore AD. There is an cmd to restore the
databases, but I can't find it anymore.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Domain cannot be found or does not exist
I am restoring System State on another server having
same HW config. But when i try to joing a PC to it, it
says 'Domain cannot be found or it does not exist'.
When i try to open Domain Security Policy, it displays
same message in addition to 'you do not have access
previliges' (though i am logged in as Adminsitrator).
What could have gone wrong???? becasue during system
state restore it does not seems to give any errors.
