Just a thought, as I do not have any experience of OpenLDAP....

There should be no problem running the export from AD with LDIFDE, but should you not
be using OpenLDAP specific tools to run the import of the LDIF file to OpenLDAP, e.g.
ldapmodify?

I know LDIF is an internet standard, but I remember reading somewhere that there may
be problems with passwords as well as with inetOrgPerson objects. Windows 2000 AD
does not natively support inetOrgPerson, whereas Windows .Net AD does.

exporting LDIF file

I am trying to export LDIF file using LDIFDE from AD to OpenLDAP, I've got
the following message :
"Connection as current user using SSPI"
"The SSPI connection as current user has returned other", while from
OpenLDAP, I launch the command ldapsearch with option
supportedSASLMechanisms, I notice that AD uses GSSAPI (the same thing that
OpenLDAP uses) and GSS-SPNEGO, I would like to know if it's possible to make
those two mechanisms work so I can export LDIF file from AD to OpenLDAP
successfully ?
I also would like to know if anyone would like to share their success story
integrating Active Directory with OpenLDAP, any respond or documentation to
that matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks
