Just a thought, as I do not have any experience of OpenLDAP.... There should be no problem running the export from AD with LDIFDE, but should you not be using OpenLDAP specific tools to run the import of the LDIF file to OpenLDAP, e.g. ldapmodify?
I know LDIF is an internet standard, but I remember reading somewhere that there may be problems with passwords as well as with inetOrgPerson objects. Windows 2000 AD does not natively support inetOrgPerson, whereas Windows .Net AD does.
