We've had a couple of our customers get their DCs into a similar mode. The problem was a policy setting from an security template that configured the server to "reboot on audit failure". Audit events were failing because of some sort of file corruption, IIRC. In any case, resetting the policy and clearing the event logs solved the problem.

Does anyone know of a good tool that will monitor a server and possible show the API that was called to give a shutdown to the server, I have a server that Is shutting down every 2 minutes on the button, It is shutting down clean so I dont think it is a hardware problem, I think something on the server is rebooting it any suggesstions ...
