Ooops - that should have read

You need to set the showInAdvancedViewOnly attribute of the object to TRUE

If you're creating objects through ADSI then set the attribute when you create or 
update the object, otherwise use something like ADSIEdit
in the Windows 2000 Support Tools.

Run the adminpak setup from the I386 folder on the W2K CD to re-install all of the 
admin tools.  Not sure how to create a hidden OU.

Probably a registry hack someplace...
