Justin, I have seen this before - - -what happened to me - may have happened to you.

What you're hoping for is:

Your request for forced replication collided with (coincidentally) normally scheduled Active Directory replication and therefore the change couldn't be propagated at that time.

I would wait about 20 minutes or so ( depending on how big your forest is - how many DC etc etc and try it again.

PLEASE let me know how you make out.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Warning message
Importance: High

Event Type: Warning

Event Source:     NTDS Replication

Event Category:   Replication

Event ID:   1083

Date:       11/21/2002

Time:       8:04:56 AM

User:       Everyone

Computer:   CRNHBACKUP01

Description:

Replication warning: The directory is busy. It couldn't update object

CN="Strcich, Ann",OU=Finance,DC=CRNH,DC=CHCSNET,DC=ORG with changes made by

directory 5d3deb76-f634-4927-8f37-6bee7ea75783._msdcs.CHCSNET.ORG. Will try

again later.

Does any one know why I would be getting this in my child domain?  All DCs

in that domain at SP3.  The MSADC is running between one domain and an

exchange 5.5 server is the forest root.  Any help would be appreciated.

Also, when I try to force replication I get an error message saying that the

PRC Server is unavailable.
