So here is what I have done, added a dc to my production domain, let everything replicate to it and pulled it off production and put it in test environment. Seized all the fsmo roles, cleaned up active directory with ntdsutil on both sides. everything went well but I am confused about the schema master. When I try to transfer or seize it I get a an error saying I don't have the proper access to perform this function, even though I am a member of the schema admins group. Is there something I missed?
