If you
follow the instructions at this page:
And
especially the section on updating your current Office XP installation.
The update uses .MSP and versioning to inform GP and IntelliMirror as a whole
that there is new stuff available and it will notify the client side extentions
for software installation that there are updates that need to be
installed.
It, in
effect, is 'slip-streaming' the Office install at your administrative share
point then notifying the client of which files must be
updated.
All in
all, a pretty clean method.
