The problem I'm having is that the client doesn't appear to be getting the updates. I don't see an error message in the event log. When I try to look in the update.log file for errors, I don't even have the log. I'm looking at article 323184 on microsoft.com and i'm gonna go from there. The fact that this log is missing tells me something isn't right.
