We had no issues when we went native...similar situation: Single domain, lots of NT4 clients and member servers, as well as W2K clients and member servers.  A month or so after the last of the NT4 BDCs was removed, we made the switch with no complaints.  This domain had been upgraded from NT4 back in 2000, so there's all kinds of old stuff on it.  YMMV if your old stuff is not similar to our old stuff, but that was our experience.
