All,

Thanks for all the replies on my previous question.

Another scenario which some of my collegues are trying. I'm wondering if
they are not on a path which leads them to too many problems. We have a
large production environment and want to create a test environment.

A decision was made to setup a new forest and child domain with the same
names. In this test-forest they want to import (using LDIF) the users
from the production domain. This import includes the attributes used by
Exchange 2000. Exchange is setup by restoring a backup from one of the
Exchange servers from the production environment.

Questions:

* Is this at all possible? Won't they get problems with SIDs, ACLs,
links between mailbox and user?

* If it is possible, which attributes from Exchange needs to be imported
in AD to get a mailbox working?

Greetings,
--Joeri
