Here's my 2 cents - -If you're working remote through VPN or are inside your network
behind firewalls and so forth - you should really have no issues.

I use REALVNC all the time (both inside and via VPN from home or on the road) and have
never had an issue. I have been doing this for quite some time.

Basically - you're just as secure/unsecure as you would be with PC Anywhere (or
anyother remote utility) depending on how much (or little) you lock stuff down. Only
thing is - VNC is way cheaper than PC Anywhere (it's FREE :O) )

Does anyone know of any big security issues with Ultra VNC or any other VNC
products. Ultra VNC looks like a good product. We currently use PCAnywhere 10.5 and it
is not cheap. I am trying to find ways to save my org some software costs.

        Thanks

        True.

But, Dell sure seems to as an integral piece of their server management
and DRAC offerings - and yes, on Windows 2000.
