Title: Win2k Cluster Configuration
That is great to hear.  We are finishing our migration to E2K and will be in Native Exchange mode before we attempt the cluster build (so no SRS needed).  We will a setup similar to yours with a Clariion unit for the quorum and multiple information stores.

Thanks for the info.

Absolutely. We can distribute the services between the two machines, but it works much better keeping it A/P. Our mdbdata log drives are all on a Symmetrix box with the quorums. Failover works without a hitch.

ONE MAJOR ISSUE: If you are setting up your E2K as an upgrade from 5.5, make sure that the first machine you install into the Exchange 5.5 site is NOT a cluster. And it MUST stay up for as long as the 5.5 systems stay around. This is because we found out (the hard way) that the Site Replication Service is NOT clusterable. And it cannot be moved to another system, it must be the first E2K server to join the 5.5 organization.

Other than that, we've been flying.

I'm assuming 2-node Active/Passive clusters for E2K?  Any issues or gotchas other than the stuff you already mentioned?  How well does E2K failover?

We've got 3 clusters running in ours, 2 Exchange 2K, one file and we are about to build a SQL cluster. Only issues are making sure you have an IP for everything (each NIC, each cluster group incl. application cluster groups) and a name registered in DNS for the cluster (should do it automatically).

Does anyone know of any issues with running a Win2K Cluster configuration as a member server within an ADS domain?

Thanks in advance,

Nef
