To the List, This may seem a silly question - but here goes. If a site is within the same namespace [i.e., hq.xyz.com and site1.xyz.com] and has not been brought into AD as yet [site is still at NT4 SP4] what will happen if an E2K upgrade process is started for the rest of the forest. By this I mean, installing and configuring the ADCs and possibly upgrading some of the Exchange 55 servers at HQ and other sites. I think mail would continue to flow as it relies on DNS resolution [or a direct connection via a stated IP address] - but how would the replication be handled? Would the non-AD site continue to get updates from the bridgehead server via the directory replication connector?
