We just link the default DC policy to whatever OU they get put into.

I'm not sure what effect it would have, but I suspect there are likely to be issues if the DCs are no longer linked with the Default Domain Controllers Policy. I'm interested to hear Ninet's response to your question. The only possible reason I can think of is if the DCs are being used for other services, e.g. File and Print, SQL, Exchange, etc. Tony ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 6 Mar 2003 10:28:07 +0000 It is generally not good practice. Can I ask your reasoning for creating a 'subset' of DCs? I would like to delegate certain groups to be backup operators and server operators for just a subset of Domain controllers. Does anyone have any advice or technotes regarding this? ******************************************************************** This E-mail and any files transmitted with it are in commercial confidence and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
