We just link the default DC policy to whatever OU they get put into.

I agree with you there, Robert.  I'm not sure what effect it would have,
but I suspect there are likely to be issues if the DCs are no longer
linked with the Default Domain Controllers Policy.

I'm interested to hear Ninet's response to your question.  The only
possible reason I can think of is if the DCs are being used for other
services, e.g. File and Print, SQL, Exchange, etc.

Can I ask your reasoning for creating a 'subset' of DCs?

Are there any reasons I should move Domain controllers from the Default
container into a separate OU?

I would like to delegate certain groups to be backup operators and
server operators for just a subset of Domain controllers.  Does anyone
have any advice or technotes regarding this?
