Good morning to all.
Can any one shed some light on the best practices to share a data folder on windows 2000.
I am creating shares for a dept. so that they can back up all the dpt. Data not user data. Do I have to also set NTFS permissions or could I do away with sharing permissions?
The way I have it is as follows.
Sharename
Sharing permissions: domain admins= full
Group containin users:= change
NTFS permissions uncheck box to inherite permissions
domain admins= full
Group containing users:= change
Can any one please provide how do you do this for more security and ease of administrations.
