As it
should be. All of the advanced view everything features should be enabled on
servers and any workstations that get admin tools installed on them. I don't
understand the MS thought to hide things from admin level users in the gui's and
making them learn enough to turn the stuff on. It is similar in basic concept to
the old idea that they should enable all functionality by default and let the
admin figure out what they could turn off. Thankfully they have reversed that
thinking and now make the admin learn enough to turn it on. Maybe someone is
thinking that they should display everything by default as well and make the
admin figure out how to filter things out from being seen so they KNOW what is
being filtered out.
One of
my largest pet peeves on MS products is having to go in and change all of the
explorer settings on a server so I can actually see file extensions and all the
files.
Of
course not everyone hates that, it is good for the people writing virii and
trojans.
