I've a client whom I
just moved to mixed-mode from NT4 last week. Single A/D controller right now,
bringing up a second one tomorrow (and there are three NT4 BDCs in the
mix).
Two days ago, host
id 1 in an NLBS cluster died. The cluster consists of all Windows 2000 Advanced
Server computers, running sp3. Yesterday we brought up a new server to replaced
hostid 1. The new server is hostid 4.
The new
server refuses to converge as part of the the cluster. It creates a new
cluster and sets itself as DEFAULT.
I've searched and
hunted and hunted and searched -- the only difference I can find ANYWHERE is
that the domain reported on hosts 2 and 3 for computers is the old NETBIOS name
and the domain reported on host 4 is the new A/D name.
How do I resolve
this? Any ideas?
