Justin, You can easily see if there is a problem with mail flow. Check the queues, delivery and bad mail for any excessive problems. (Bad mail always has lots, not to worry) How much real mail, not SPAM, is being delivered? Size of attachments? Etc. SPAM is another issue, it will bong down a delivery queue like there is no tomorrow. Just some ideas to look at.

I have though checked this in the past and it was never that high after a few days and after the viruses that have been going around I wanted to see if there was something new that maybe my av software did not catch. I have scanned it since and it seems fine. -----Original Message----- From: Rick Kingslan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 6:40 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] Normal? Justin, Apparently you've never collected baselines for your systems, otherwise this question wouldn't be one - you'd know. I don't think that anyone here can tell you what is and is not normal for YOUR servers. No more than you could teel me what is normal for mine. My Exchange Server after being up for 11 days has 241 Million packets outbound and 91 million packets inbound. This machine is not infected with Nachi or Blaster and I have run a AV on it many times. I am just curious if this is normal behavior since it has never been this much before. Thanks Justin A.
