Sorry for the off-topic, but does anyone know...
We have an SMS 2.0 box on NT4. We weren't doing much with it, just some RC,
and it never worked too well - maybe misconfigured, maybe 2.0 s.... anyway
the Win2K upgrade of the box is sitting there saying "Please Wait..." and
I'm wondering, if I just blow that away and drop in a W2k3 server with SMS
2003 with the same name as the old ones, should the old clients all report
to it like they did the 2.0 server, and then we can upgrade them by pushing
from the server? Will RC still work? i.e. is there anything in the 2.0
database that is needed for the old client to talk to the server? (because
I'd rather not restore the database if I can help it, rather start fresh).

Thanks for any help, feel free to respond directly to me
