What I have found is that GPO-based software installation
is keyed off the MSI Product Code that comes in an MSI package. If the
MSI product Code of the version that is installed already is the same
as the one you're deploying via GPO, then GPO won't install again. If not, you
get the situation you're seeing.

When I assign a package to an OU, it works great, but with one problem. If the program has already been manually installed, the package gets installed anyways. Is there any way around this?
