Hi,

The steps I mentioned below worked for me.

SYSVOL replication uses the same replication topology as AD replication, so
that is no problem. The steps for moving a DC are also described in some
Q-article that a cannot find anymore.

These are the steps again that I used (these worked for me):
a. * Synchronize Active Directory completely
b. * Move (logically) the DC in Active Directory to another site (on
the DC itself) (this way the DC itself and other DCs, when you reconnect the
DC, know that the DC has moved in AD)
c. * Check the Topology for each site (if the KCC is enabled this will
happen automatically. I mentioned it here because in this situation the
total number of sites was 6 and I wanted to force it)
d. * Synchronize Active Directory completely
e. * Shutdown the DC
f. * Move (physically) the DC to the other location/subnet
g. * Power the DC on without a network connection
h. * Change the IP address and the Default Gateway
i. * Change, if needed, the Link Speed and Duplex
j. * Reboot the DC twice
k. * Run DCDIAG and check the Event Viewer
l. * Troubleshoot if needed

If you are not confortable doing this in the production environment, do it
first in a test environment to see what happens

Regards,
Jorge

Jorge, all looks good to me ,

"splitting hairs" - i would guess but is the logical move in AD necessary
while the server is up ?

and i guess no surprises hidden issue with the NTFRS connection objects ?? -
for sysvol replication these are generated from the connection objects
generated by the KCC and so if the AD replication topology generated by KCC
works itself out following the move then i suppose we are ok ?
