The Registry Console Tool For Windows 2000 reg.exe allows you to add, modify, query the register which I believe is a resource kit tool.

Not sure if this does binary keys, also there maybe issues if the key has security which makes it unavailable to users.  If this isn't the case, this is a login script will work a treat.

Hi,

We use a product called NetInstall to distribute updates and software to our workstations on our Active Directory domain. All Workstations throughout the network are built with a standard image (XP).

As part of the next upgrade, we've found we need to modify a registry setting on roughly 100 Workstations in order for the automated install to work correctly.

Does anyone know of a way in which we can use a third party tool, or a way inside Windows 2000 to change the registry value on 100 Workstations via a script to save our team having to visit each Workstation and apply the change?

thx
