Hello list, Ready to upgrade to 2003 we are a small 100 user company with two published domains A.com and B.com and one Exchange Organization hosting both domains.
NT4.0 PDC 2 BDC 3 Exch 5.5 2 File Servers 2 New servers (for upgrading purposes) We want to consider following scenarios: Scenario # 1 Migrate to one AD domain and get along with OU's. Questions: What would be the best method to migrate? In place or Pristine with Trusts? How would the new Exchange organization handle both the published domains? Scenario # 2 Migrate to two domains representing the published domains. Questions: Should we or shouldn't we have an empty root domain (I have never really understood the concept or the benefits)? What's the minimum number of DC's needed to accomplish this 1) With empty domain? 2) Without empty domain?
