First time poster, long time lurker.. My company wants to set the Internet Settings configuration to "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" check-box. There doesn't appear to be a standard adm template or GPO setting that incorporates this option so I created a custom template. We have a testing OU populated with accounts. The GPO is applied successfully to only those accounts. While the user can still un-check the box during their session, that is alright if we can have it re-applied during the next GPO refresh. But the GPO is not re-applied again (either upon user logon or GPO user update period or or utilizing 'secedit /refreshpolicy user_policy /enforce') unless a change has been made on the GPO itself. What am I missing?
Anyone know if there is a way to 'gray-out' or remove that internet option for users? (Just removing the 'Advanced Tab' is not an option.) We are running only a native Windows 2000 domain with Windows 2000 clients utilizing IE 5.5 (due to internal application issues).. --------------------------------------------- Kyle A Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] Office: 512-219-4704 Pager : 512-849-0068 List info : http://www.activedir.org/mail_list.htm List FAQ : http://www.activedir.org/list_faq.htm List archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/activedir%40mail.activedir.org/
