can anyone confirm the mechanism by which dcpromo being run discovers the source of domain information on the initial dc promotion. i know we doing this unattended you can hardcode a source into the script file but how does it find a source when left to its own devices ?? q223757 tells us "the closest domain controller from the domain being replicated will be selected. " - is this by site defintion ?
