I recall this being a rather complicated convoluted mess to do. Originally I had contacted PSS about it some time ago so I could get the ADC perms required knocked down, but once I saw the process I was like no way... I would rather the ADC run as an Administrator and I maintain the password for that account.
I believe the process is that you have to first take ownership of the container and then write the DACL after you have the ownership. DmitriG was working with someone out in the public Microsoft newsgroups a year or so ago if I recall trying to write a program to do this. I was interested in that thread because it was around the time I was trying to do something with the ADC and hoped he had a better answer. As for just viewing objects in the deleted container, you can use LDP but it is probably faster to use adfind with the -showdel option. joe -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tony Murray Sent: Monday, August 02, 2004 11:04 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ActiveDir] Deleted Objects container Hi all Does anyone know how to view and change permissions on the Deleted Objects container? The container is hidden from the UI tools, but I suspect there is a way to do it programmatically.
